Kobold Toys started 2004 in Panama. Since then, we have opened a second store in and a third, online store www.koboldtoys.com in the USA.
Our business is built on three pillars: quality, assortment and excellent customer service. We carry toys that customers can’t find in mass markets and, if they do, it is because the toy is just an extraordinary toy. We also created a new line of business called Very Busy Very Thoughtful dedicated to adults, that are busy working but care deeply about their children, nephews, nieces and grandchildren. We have a service that helps them keep track of important dates, select presents, wrap them nicely and show that they care.
We strongly believe that a gift’s presentation matters a lot. In that regard, we are just as careful to select out wrapping paper, cards and gift cards as we are in selecting our toys. My partner and I think that how a gift is presented is as important as the gift itself. Without good wrapping, no matter how much a customer spends, the gift doesn't have the same impact than with a nice wrapping.
For that reason, we fell in love with Disegno papers. We love the colors, designs, the feel and how nicely they wrapped around boxes. These high quality papers have helped us enormously to establish Kobold Toys as a "brand". When a customer comes to our store, they know that a "kobold gift" is of high quality and with excellent presentation (thanks to the tasteful paper.) Disegno wrapping papers are so popular that we had many customers asking us whether we had "that nice wrapping paper" even before they purchased a toy! We love the "Kinder" and "Memory" designs, both the regular and the Christmas one.
